YES!

IRINA S. WON PROJECT RUNWAY! It was truly well deserved. I was partial to her from day one,we NY girls have to represent. We always came across as bitchy on t.v,don't we? Hahaha.

Designer Irina Shabayeva is a cut above the Project Runway rest.

The 27-year-old New York City based designer took home top honors on Thursday's sixth season finale of Runway, praised for her "cohesive" and "modern" Fashion Week collection.

Shabayeva, who beat out finalists Althea Harper and Carol Hannah Whitfield, both 24, for this season's title, was initially criticized for sending a collection of black and gray-colored items down the runway.

At the conclusion of her 13-look runway show, however, Heidi Klum and fellow judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia changed their minds. "Your line was sleek, modern and cohesive and it told a story," Klum told Shabayeva.

"I can't believe it!" the designer exclaimed after Klum announced her as the winner. "I'm definitely proud of myself," she said. "I think this deserves a pat on the back, because I did have some stiff competition."

Super Sad:(

The fashion industry has really been suffering as most industries are in this recession.Glamour magazine laid off seven staffers in the advertising depertament on 11/10/09. And in the wake of the sudden folding of Gourmet and Cookie(magazines), inside sources say the ladies at Lucky(magazine) (covering the sport of shopping, under the guidance of editor-in-chief Kim France) are particularly nervous about the next round of cuts.

Jimmy Choo for H&M

I'm a little late with this but shush.I'm really excited for this. It seems like the trendy and business savvy thing for designer to do is merge with retailers marketed to middle class. For example,Rodarte for Target.Well here's a sneak peek

Check out more of the collection @ http://www.fabsugar.com/5185890
My faves
*Zebra print clutch
*Faux fur vest
*Black wrap dress
*Gray sheath dress
Basically everything...

Overall,The Jimmy Choo collection for H&M isn't THAT amazing, revolutionary or trend setting. It has a clubbing/night on the town theme. There's a lot of high slits, fringe, leather, studs, sequins and fur. It's pretty basic but it works. There's so many things I adore. But it does have really exquisite and eye-catching accessories such as the clutches and shoes. And of course, the pumps & stilettos galore. That's what Jimmy Choo is known for. Jimmy Choo for H&M premieres in all participating stores on Nov.14!

p.s-Sorry I can't put up pictures-long story!,I need to figure out this picture thing on Blogger.Ugh.

It's boring, right? I'm going to wear the blazer open and unbuttoned and dark blue skinnies. I may add a scarf or a necklace but this is it basically. It's going to be so cold in NYC tomorrow.#@!*% I'm curling my hair and I gotta wear my damned glass. Blind as a bat without them, smh.

Jackets,Coats,Potatoes,Pah-Taa-toes...
First of all,you need to know what length of coat you want, the style of the coat, comfort and of course the price. I went to the Burlington Coat factory two weeks ago and I got this adorable coat from Jones New York.

$79 and I got it in Charcoal gray. It's unbelievably warm and CHIC.See? You don't have to sacrifice style for warmth in fall/winter? Of course when it gets to 45 degrees and below. I have two bulky (northface and southpole) jackets!

I tend to go for black for all my essentials i.e my purses, coats, wallets. I'm weird like that. So getting a grey winter coat was a huge step. Alo the cut was a huge step. It' a lot shorter than I would typically go for but I fell in love with it when I see it. The belt is like POW,you can't miss it but it's really tasteful and elegant. And of coure the buttons are so exquisite and it's so luxurious looking. Yum

If you want a shorter jacket like mine with a little more color, check out this

Short Length Military Pea coats in red, plum and black by Sean John(who would've thought)
$89
If you want a longer jacket but not bulky, check out this

Faux Suede Coat with Toggle front by Larry Levine $69. I Love this. I wish I had seen this coat in the store. How fabulous is this,GAH. Chic.Chic.Chic

If you're looking for a trendy cheap trench coat,Lookie here

I know what you're thinking-it looks light. It's fully lined inside and it's cotton. The coat hits at the knee...plus it's screams style, sophistication and a little daring.
M60-Miss Sixty Cotton Blend Trenchcoat $49

All of these coats can be found at your nearest Burlington Coat factory. It's the only place to get a coat. It has the biggest selection.Go!
:)

It's about that time for...HALLOWEEN.

I'm not a big fan of Halloween. Christmas is where it's at! But any who,Halloween has its moments. Playing dress up is always fun,the costume parties and free candy is pretty fun too. I know there's still a couple of you out there that still don't have a costume. Here are some great ideas,I hope I inspired you guys. Comment!
To dress up like weirdo and music genius(?) Lady Gaga.

You'll need a:

-Blond wig/weave. Make a crazy hairstyle like her infamous bow
-A leotard
-Sky high heels
-Sunglasses
-A cane (paparazzi video)
-Black or yellow thunderbolt sticker

To dress up like Chanel head designer Karl Lagerfeld

You'll need a:
-A gray taupe,gray wig-make a ponytail
-Square shaped glasses
-Lots of bronzer,make yourself orange/brown
-A three piece suit and tie
-Leather gloves
-Black loafers

To dress up like Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour

You'll need a:
-Blond bob wig w/bangs
-A fur coat
-Round black sunglasses
-An everlasting smirk
-A dress
-Manolo Blahnik pumps ;)

A very popular one this year is going to be the Legendary Michael Jackson. Think Thriller era...
This picture makes me LOL
You'll need a:
-Red leather jacket
-S curl wig
-White bedazzled gloves
-Black aviators
-Skinny jeans (red or black)
-Black tap shoes w/ white socks
Don't forget to do the thriller moves and get a little R.I.P button to put on your costume!!!

If you're a Project Runway junkie like me-you probably saw the episode where Nicholas Putvinski won a challenge for his Ice queen costume.

You'll need a:
-A white gown
-GLITTER
-Feathers
-Temporary Gray spray on color
-Platinum sandals or heels
**This is more for my aspiring designers and D.I.Y people**

p.s-Polyvore was acting silly today,I would've posted some sets. Sorry1

Happy Halloween:)!
