YES!

IRINA S. WON PROJECT RUNWAY! It was truly well deserved. I was partial to her from day one,we NY girls have to represent. We always came across as bitchy on t.v,don't we? Hahaha.

Designer Irina Shabayeva is a cut above the Project Runway rest.

The 27-year-old New York City based designer took home top honors on Thursday's sixth season finale of Runway, praised for her "cohesive" and "modern" Fashion Week collection.

Shabayeva, who beat out finalists Althea Harper and Carol Hannah Whitfield, both 24, for this season's title, was initially criticized for sending a collection of black and gray-colored items down the runway.

At the conclusion of her 13-look runway show, however, Heidi Klum and fellow judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia changed their minds. "Your line was sleek, modern and cohesive and it told a story," Klum told Shabayeva.

"I can't believe it!" the designer exclaimed after Klum announced her as the winner. "I'm definitely proud of myself," she said. "I think this deserves a pat on the back, because I did have some stiff competition."

TEAM IRINA.I love everything she makes. It's ready to wear, luxurious and fashion forward! I don't even know how Althea made it this far, smh. There were alot better designers that left but what's done is done. Carol is a dress maker not a designer to me. Sorry but good luck to all. Can't wait:-)

Super Sad:(

The fashion industry has really been suffering as most industries are in this recession.Glamour magazine laid off seven staffers in the advertising depertament on 11/10/09. And in the wake of the sudden folding of Gourmet and Cookie(magazines), inside sources say the ladies at Lucky(magazine) (covering the sport of shopping, under the guidance of editor-in-chief Kim France) are particularly nervous about the next round of cuts.

Jimmy Choo for H&M

I'm a little late with this but shush.I'm really excited for this. It seems like the trendy and business savvy thing for designer to do is merge with retailers marketed to middle class. For example,Rodarte for Target.Well here's a sneak peek

Check out more of the collection @ http://www.fabsugar.com/5185890
My faves
*Zebra print clutch
*Faux fur vest
*Black wrap dress
*Gray sheath dress
Basically everything...

Overall,The Jimmy Choo collection for H&M isn't THAT amazing, revolutionary or trend setting. It has a clubbing/night on the town theme. There's a lot of high slits, fringe, leather, studs, sequins and fur. It's pretty basic but it works. There's so many things I adore. But it does have really exquisite and eye-catching accessories such as the clutches and shoes. And of course, the pumps & stilettos galore. That's what Jimmy Choo is known for. Jimmy Choo for H&M premieres in all participating stores on Nov.14!

p.s-Sorry I can't put up pictures-long story!,I need to figure out this picture thing on Blogger.Ugh.
